About Us

The Objective of BiometricNews.net

Ravi, in a previous security business he owned, used to sell the Hand Geometry Scanner and various types of Fingerprint Recgonition Devices. He noticed that much more time would be spent on educating potential customers about Biometrics, rather than actually selling the devices. As a result, over time, he discovered, that a certain type of "disconnect" exists between the Biometrics Industry and the end user, which is the average, everyday consumer here in the United States, and worldwide.

What is this disconnect??? It can be defined as the lack of understanding of what Biometrics is all about. It originates from the lack of education to the the end user about Biometrics, and the issues surrounding it. BiometricNews.net was founded as a technical writing business to provide this type of education; to increase the public awareness and perception of Biometrics; and to be that constant line of communications and interactions between the technology and the end user.

Imagine a continuum of all of the Security Technologies which are available today. When you imagine this wide array, it is Biometrics which has the most issues of fear, anxiety, perplexion, misunderstanding, unease, etc. It is one of the primary goals of BiometricNews.net to dispel all of these issues with our news and information and services. Remember, Biometrics is just another piece of technology-there is nothing magical about it.

We are the advocates for the end user of Biometrics, and are very much a customer oriented business. We are vendor and technology neutral in our news and information services, and our primary target audience is the average, everyday consumer who has interest in Biometrics, and who wants to know more about it at a level deeper than just the technology. Our business philosophy comes from simply providing great customer service.

We are not a "techno-geek" business. Although our backgrounds are extensively in IT, our business goals are social in nature, and not technical. We possess a very unique writing gift in that we can take something very complex and translate it into every day English, which anybody can understand.

The bottom line is, the citizens of the world needs to be made aware of the technology they are counting on to protect them. Nobody else in the world is doing what we do.

Our Short Term Plans

In order to continue to serve our subscribers and clients with excellent service, we are planning, by 2012, to move out of our "home office", into some "real office" space, here in the Chicago area. Stay tuned for details!
